MEET THE FOLKS
Here we see TankMom and TankDad realizing they've been tricked: turns out it's not just a cozy dinner with the four sons. In fact it's a gathering of their oldest friends from far and wide, assembled to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
It'd been many years since we'd seen such a display of unmitigated emotion from them. Unprecedented, in fact.

50 years. i can't even imagine it. amazing. my dad was married to my mom for 28 years when she vanished. he's now been married to my stepmother for 33 years. to have been married for 61 years of an 89 year life is just stunning to me. i've been hooked up since 1992. it seems an eternity. in a good way :)
Aww. My parents will celebrate the same anniversary later this year, and the sisters and I have thought of doing the same.
